Swimming with Sea lions of Isla Los Islotes, Mexico

We anchored at the southern lobe of Ensenada Grande, tucked away (we hoped) from the expected Corumuel winds from the Southwest.  Our goal the next day:  a pretty long dinghy ride in the morning to Isla Los Islotes to swim with the sea lions.  Mission:  We wanted to get there, and out, before 9:00, when the tour boats arrive.    (Note: the date stamp on my cheapo underwater cam still thinks it's 2017, it isn't.)

Isla Los Islotes, home to a sea lion colony.

Mission accomplished!  We had a wonderful time swimming with the playful creatures all to ourselves, and were dinghying away just as the first tour boats arrived.

It wasn't all about the sea lions, of course.   We also had time to enjoy the beauty of the Ensenada Grande anchorage.

Hold on to your hat!

We also spent a few days at the marina in La Paz, where I was finally able to reseal the rub rail leak that we had been monitoring since crossing the Sea of Cortez.  Let's hope it holds!
